DAB has chosen ECdrive as their charge points operator, and the agreement will to start run for the next 10 years.
We will begin establishment in the spring of 2023 and start with four different properties in Måløv and Kirke Hyllinge on Zealand, Denmark.
DAB, which translates to Danish Non-profit Housing Company, was founded in 1942, with the purpose of working for a societal desire to promote social housing and detached and terraced house construction, as well as to carry out advisory activities in the construction and housing area.
Today DAB manages and lents out nearly 54,000, primarily public housing throughout Denmark. DAB’s ambition is to be Denmark’s best management company in terms of price and quality.
ECdrive’s EV charge solution is optimal for residential properties, both for rental flats and housing associations, as the solution is completely free of cost and the establishment will therefore not burden the finances of either landlords or residents.
The solution includes everything which means that DAB can focus on their core area – administration and letting of public housing.
We always establish a new electrical connection so that the current installations are not affected and this also means that we can continuously expand the number of chargers when the number of electric cars increases and the need increases, as our installation is future-proof.
ECdrive’s charge point solution means that the residents of the selected properties can look forward to charging their car at their residence, even thought they do not have their own driveway. EV cars should be the easy choice as oppose to the petrol car – even if you cannot or do not want to set up a charging box in the carport, and this is precisely one of ECdrive’s focus areas.
In addition, our total solution means that residents can charge their car without needing either a subscription, fixed agreement or fixed high prices. ECdrive’s charging prices, on the other hand, are market-based and extremely favorable.
Our average charging price in November was: DKK 3.53/kWh, which must be said to be one of the lowest on the charging market.
Greater demands are being made for solutions and extensions in the green infrastructure, which can also be seen in the increase in rechargeable cars on the roads. New studies show that the number of electric cars in Denmark has almost doubled in the past year, despite challenges in society with both corona virus, war in Ukraine and missing components. Motorists are really starting to open their eyes to the green car alternatives, and to a greater extent are replacing the old car with an electric car or hybrid car when they are looking for a new car.
More and more manufacturers are also continuously coming to the market with more models and the selection is getting bigger at the same time that consumers benefit from the low taxes on rechargeable cars.
This also means that the charging infrastructure must be expanded and improved, and one of the places where it is important to make efforts is housing with shared parking.
At ECdrive, we want to offer a charging solution with the environment in mind and we do that with our sharing economy solution, where several people have to use the same charger, as opposed to us each having our own charger. By setting up chargers for shared use, we reduce CO2 emissions as we have to install fewer chargers, allocate fewer amperes and protect the environment for chargers that are not used or are used to a very small extent.
It makes good sense for both consumers, the environment and us as an operator that the existing charge points are used as efficiently as possible and installed with our environment and society in mind.
